DescriptionNatural resource managers and native communities have expressed a need for effectively synthesizing traditional knowledge and western science data.  The Inuvialuit of the Yukon North Slope are working on a Wildlife Conservation Plan that does just that.  This report compiles local knowledge on the variables that are important to local hunters, including the names used to describe places and habitats and how seasonality affects wildlife available for harvest.
